1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember preferences, and understand how visitors interact with pages. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and tracking pixels.
2. Categories we use
We group cookies into three categories. Only Essential cookies run without your consent.
2.1 Essential (strictly necessary)
- Session management, security (CSRF tokens), load balancing.
- Cookie consent preference (so we remember your choice).
- No personal identification. Cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
2.2 Analytics (opt-in)
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) via Google Tag Manager.
- Measures: page views, scroll depth, file downloads, video plays, form starts, outbound clicks.
- IP anonymisation enabled. Data retained 14 months (GA4 default).
- No user-ID, no cross-device tracking, no remarketing audiences.
2.3 Marketing / Advertising (opt-in)
- We do not currently run advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag).
- If we add them in future, they will be opt-in only and this policy will be updated.

4. Consent & control
- On first visit, a consent banner lets you Accept All, Reject All (essential only), or Customise.
- Your choice is stored in the
cyberium-consent cookie (12 months). - You can change preferences anytime by clearing that cookie or using your browser's cookie controls.
- Browser-level: most browsers let you block third-party cookies, clear on exit, or send
Do Not Track (we respect DNT for analytics).
5. Third-party content
Embedded content may set cookies from their own domains:
- Google Maps (contact/location pages) - map tiles, preferences.
- YouTube (if we embed videos) - playback, recommendations.
- These are loaded only when you interact with the embed (lazy load with
loading="lazy").
6. Your rights (GDPR-style)
- Access, correction, deletion of personal data linked to cookies.
- Withdraw consent for analytics at any time (banner or clear cookies).
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Email info@cyberiumtech.com.np with Cookie Request in the subject.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when we add/remove cookies or change providers. Material changes get a new Last updated date and a renewed consent banner.
